Visiting the harbour
Every single day, the seafarer missionaries go out into the Danish harbours and meet many different people. From older seafarers to young trainees.

Ship visits
Going on board ships and meeting the crews there is an important part of being a seafarer missionary. Just as Jesus went out into the streets and met people on their 'home turf', we also want to visit the seafarers on their 'home turf'.
Seafarer missionaries sometimes meet seafarers who are severely challenged by loneliness. When you're far from home, it can be a challenge to find someone else to talk to confidentially. That's why the seafarer missionary often listens to a seafarer's challenges. And the seafarer missionary has time!
Bethel
Seafarer missionary and skipper, Leif Rasmussen, talks about Seamen's Mission ships, The Dove and Bethel's journeys. The pigeon was sold in 2019, but is still a part of history - and Leif's story. Every year, Bethel sails from harbour to harbour, inviting people in for a cup of coffee and a chat about life and faith. You can also join in on some of the ship's journeys yourself. See here.
