Making an important difference in what is - for many sailors - a lonely time.

Every year, the ship Bethel sets sail for the Danish harbours. Here it will be a light into the maritime environment in Denmark. The ship is sailed and led by a seafarer missionary, but without extra hands, it's difficult!

Every year, hundreds of cruise ships call at Danish ports. On board are thousands of seafarers whom we want to meet with diakonia and mission. We do this in Aarhus, for example.

Every year, many seafarers look forward to a Christmas at sea. In a foreign harbour. In a foreign country. They are close to our hearts, which is why for many years we have sent Christmas gifts to as many as possible. Receiving a pair of socks warms the heart more than the feet.

Around Denmark, Christian brothers and sisters with a heart for the maritime industry meet. They pray for the work and for light to be lit in many hearts. They collect Christmas presents and gifts for seafarers and much more.

Sømandsmissionen is and must be visible out in the community. That's why we attend various camps/conferences every year, sharing our story and awakening a fire in new hearts. We also organise many events for our target groups.
