During the summer, the Danish Seamen's Mission's youth network Nordlys opens seafarer cafés with free Wi-Fi, coffee and Bibles in selected Danish harbours. The target group is the hundreds of cruise ships that enter Danish harbours every year with around 70,000 crew members, primarily from Asia and Eastern Europe. They are far from home for 4-11 months at a time without holidays. In their back-breaking work on these luxurious ships, many of them need to be seen, heard and chatted with, and that's what we do in the seafarer cafés.
